Parents in Toto's mission is to help individuals of all ages living with autism or other developmental challenges and their families develop the confidence, skills, and acceptance they need to succeed in personal relationships, educational settings, and work environments through support groups, unique programming, and collaborations within the community.
Toto was opened in January 2008 by a Cranberry Township mother of two sons, the oldest diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 10 years old. After facilitating the support group Cranberry CARES for eight years, Mary Limbacher wondered what a place like a support group would look like. On a visit to help a friend open her business, Mary found an empty store front at 143 S. Main Street. Hundreds of families, individuals, therapists, and educators from Butler and all surrounding counties as well as Eastern Ohio have been helped through support groups, professional speaker presentations, and creative events and activities. While many services are provided at no cost, families may donate to a membership program for participation in additional events.
