Erik Greenawalt, who in real life is a CPA working in corporate finance, is also a certified "master" chalk artist in living in the Pittsburgh area. He participates in street painting festivals around the country; here he joins other artists in creating large-scale, elaborate chalk drawings over several days. Eric will be doing three-dimensional art for our guests to pose and get a photo. If you have never seen 3D chalk or painted art on the ground, then you must plan to come and see this. When viewed with your eyes it seems like a two dimensional elongated and distorted picture. But look through your camera, and you will see a well-proportioned three-dimensional image, where you can be part of the design.
Ken Tynan, the chainsaw artist who created the Roberto Clemente & the Indian Village carvings in Graham Park and has 10 of his chainsaw carvings throughout Cranberry Township parks, will be back again this year! Over three days, he will be carving our very own Cranberry Township’s C.T. Alligator to be displayed at the Waterpark. In addition, Ken will be carving a miniature village. Those pieces will be available for sale during Community Days. Ken, who lives in Butler, PA, has carved throughout the USA and internationally, and has been featured on TV. Come out and see what Ken is carving, as it is amazing to see the transformation of a 600-pound log into an incredible work of art.
